APP REVIEW: Sketch O Paint

Sketch O Paint

Don't be mislead by those nice, fat old-world brushes in the icon and the sample pictures of a brooding batman and a perfectly undercooked Stimpy, this software is way more "paint" than "sketch".

There's room in the app market for a dedicated ink-focused drawing tool: if the app can accurately capture what it's like to use the different nibs on a fountain pen, or a calligraphic pen, and/or the feel of a brush to draw with ink, complete with paper selection, ink spread, etc. then it would send a shiver up many collective spines. Unfortunately, if such an app was not capable of properly capturing the most rudimentary of curves without polygonalization due to crappy or incomplete sampling, then it's not ready for the big leagues.

Unless this major failing is fixed, I cannot recommend Sketch O Paint.
