Toshiba is showcasing a concept 5-in-1 tablet PC that looks a lot like a a larger Excite Write running Windows 8 attached to a keyboard/miniature docking station/base port repeater or whatever they're called.
Apparently the different modes are:
- Laptop
- Tablet
- Canvas (for pen drawing)
- Presentation
- Convertible tablet
OK, that's kind of pushing the definition of "mode" but I get that it's a numbers game. Add a SIM slot and some kind of cellular data capability and who knows how many more modes they could add?
The interesting take-aways are this:
- It's a Windows tablet.
- It's got a (presumably pressure-sensitive) pen.
- It's got a 13.3" screen.
All I need to know now is: what is the resolution of the screen and how much less than a Cintiq Companion is this going to cost?
